The end of the first month of 2015

Ahh the first month. I had a few goals in mind but I completely forgot them but I do have a LOT going on in my life right now. We are trying to pack up and be ready to move. I have managed to complete 1/4 of the 100 book challenge though. Read more then I thought. Only Reviewed two though. I may go back and review Burned and a few of the other books from this month at a later date.

I Love Karen Marie Monings books and I found a few more authors I look forward to this month. Like the Gathering Series, I adored it. Wished there had been a bit more, but it had good bones, fine meat, just need a bit more of the fatty details. :3 Heres to next month hopefully Ill finish more reviews.

Book Description:

The Final Chapter in the Cindy Eller series.

Cindy’s life is split between her responsibilities in her bakery and as the Seraphine of Faerie. It’s chaotic, but she’s making it work a day at a time.

Then Cindy’s father disappears and the last thing she ever wanted to have happen is thrust upon her– she is going to be made Seraphim. Will Cindy lose everything she has worked so hard for?

And will Faerie survive her attempts to rule?

So I avoided this book for a while, because it is the final installment and I have issues letting go of characters or worlds.

I first started this series back in 2013, Ive adored and followed Cindies story(As well as her sister Goldies) since then. I looked forward to each new installment and each new set of revelations that were brought with it. This is a series dear to me that I am ALWAYS suggesting to people. The world in this series evolves along with characters.

I love strong female characters. Especially when that strength is from the heart or the will. Cindy started out as someone I saw as a flawed loose cannon. But I loved that, I loved seeing her mistakes and laughing as everything went any which way but where she wanted it. Cindy is dear to me because I could easily put myself in her shoes, I could see myself with out of control magic, and kissing men into toads. The world she lived in made all sorts of sense to me as well. Her sisters where interesting and fun as well. Im not an eldest sister but I could see things from Cindy, towards her siblings.

This book was everything I could of asked for an ending to the Cindy Era. Sad as it is I adored every step of the way. Well except for a few bumps. And If I remember, this isn’t really the end. There will be more to come from the Cindy Realm. There is so much I want to type and say about this series, but I don’t want to give too much away.

Book Description:

Newlyweds Jade Calhoun and Kane Rouquette have barely said “I do” when there’s a disturbance in the shadow world that’s draining the energy of angels. As shadow walkers, Jade and Kane are pressed into service, tasked with the impossible mission of solving the mystery before any angels are lost…until Kane’s accused of poisoning the shadows with his incubus energy and his power is stripped.

Life goes from bad to worse when a lesser Goddess shows up, hell-bent on stealing the spirits of mortals in pursuit of a fountain of youth. Now it’s up to Jade and her coven to keep their friends safe, clear Kane’s name, and fix the shadows before one of them is lost forever.

Ive followed the Jade series for a while now. Well what feels like a while and I love it, adore it really. With each book and each adventure the duo and their pals discover something about themselves all the while defeating demons along the way. This one was no less inspiring to me then the others. I could not put it down until I finished it, which was around five am. I really should of been sleeping by then but I wasnt going to step away.

Jade is a real hero, she grows stronger each book, and with each bit of knowledge. She is strong and independent. A bit pig headed when she feels she could do something about everything. Her Hubby and soulmate is a good match to her seeming to know when best to let her do what she does, or to stop her.

I love all the characters in this series, and it really puts to point how everything, and everyone is more then they appear. As well as the old saying. Be careful what you wish for.

But when the ghost moves from spooking Jade to terrorizing Pyper, the dancer, it’s up to Jade to use her unique ability to save her.
