Vampyres don’t exist. They absolutely do not exist.
At least I didn’t think they did ‘til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. Who in the hell did I screw over in a former life that my getting healthy equates with dead?
Now I’m a Vampyre. Yes, we exist whether we want to or not. However, I have to admit, the perks aren’t bad. My girls no longer jiggle, my ass is higher than a kite and the latest Prada keeps finding its way to my wardrobe. On the downside, I’m stuck with an obscenely profane Guardian Angel who looks like Oprah and a Fairy Fighting Coach who’s teaching me to annihilate like the Terminator.
To complicate matters, my libido has increased to Vampyric proportions and my attraction to a hotter than Satan’s underpants killer rogue Vampyre is not only dangerous . . . it’s possibly deadly. For real dead. Permanent death isn’t on my agenda. Avoiding him is my only option. Of course, since he thinks I’m his, it’s easier said than done. Like THAT’S not enough to deal with, all the other Vampyres think I’m some sort of Chosen One.
Holy Hell, if I’m in charge of saving an entire race of blood suckers, the Undead are in for one hell of a ride.
I had told myself Id review the Ready to Were but got distracted before reading this one. Perhaps a later date Ill reread and review it till then here is this one.
Im starting to expect hilarious characters from Robyn Peterman. I mean the side characters are my favorite and the books ALWAYS make me laugh. This is not a book to read in public if you dont want to snortle or cackle every few moments. I didnt even realize I was constantly making noises in response till a family member told me.
Witty, amusing and drop dead hilarious at times this book gave me vampires by the truck load, plot twists I saw and ones I didnt. It gave me none stop hilarity and caused me to switch between devices to continue to read as I did chores.
I could not put this book. I loved loved loved the side characters. Hated hated hated the evil ones and felt really horrible for the heroine. Because I could see where she came from in some of her story. Not that Id experienced it but I felt I could see it from her eyes. The ending knocked me off my seat but was quasi expected after she _spoiler that Im not actually posting_.
If you like books that make you laugh, have characters that make you giggle, then give this one a try.
