Book Description:
The eldest daughter is often doomed in fairy tales. But Bella—Isabella Beauchamps, daughter of a wealthy merchant—vows to escape the usual pitfalls.
Anxious to avoid the traditional path, Bella dons a red cloak and ventures into the forbidden forest to consult with “Granny,” the local wisewoman. But on the way home she’s attacked by a wolf—who turns out to be a cursed nobleman. Secluded in his castle, Bella is torn between her family and this strange man who creates marvelous inventions and makes her laugh—when he isn’t howling at the moon.
Bella knows all too well that breaking spells is never easy. But a determined beauty, a wizard (after all, he’s only an occasional werewolf) and a little Godmotherly interference might just be able to bring about a happy ending.…
Review:
I always love plays on ‘classic tales’ I have some history with the five hundred kingdoms from memory. One of the series I adored when I was a teen.
Anways I loved this book. It was a great book to pace myself with, even if I could tell some plot twists from the get go and was confused how the people in the book didnt realize. Albeit there were a number of things I didnt see coming either.
The book was a fun and adorable read. A new play off of Beauty and the Beast but with a kind of twist I wouldnt of thought of before. I loved it. It was a book that I took more time with then sit and read in one go. It had a lot of depth that I love in novels. Very much a fine meal of a novel.
I would totally suggest and tell people to consider reading this book.
